This is me, Teacher Bross. I am 22 years old and I currently work with FoKR. I am always happy to work with the kids, teaching English class, Art class, or any activity or event. My feelings after leaving the island for three months were mostly about how much I missed the students so much, and when I came back to the island I was very happy to see all the kids and friends that I used to work with.
While I was working in my hometown of Pailin, every morning I would bring the cows to the field and get back home around 6 or 7 pm when it was dark. I would graft the saplings, over 8000 saplings for the first two months, in fields of cassavas and fruit trees.
I felt very excited when I returned to Sihanoukville and saw the sea from the road. Then, when I was on the boat, I felt like I was on my way to come back home. Because of love, that’s why I came back. The love from all FoKRs and all kids on the island. This is why I was missing them so much. I am happy to be back home.
On International Women’s Day, Teacher Bross asks students about an influential woman they know.
